Mission Values and Goals

Meeting Needs and Breaking Down Walls

At the Rock Point Mission, we work to convey tools for living healthy, Christ-centered lifestyles. We are proud of the trust we have earned and sustained in the community and look forward to changing hearts and lives of future generations of individuals and families in Rock Point.

Our Mission

To humbly inspire the development of educational, cultural, physical, and spiritual well-being among the Navajo

Our Vision

A future with Hozho', growing abundantly to create a safe, healthy environment for our community

Six Core Values We Aim to Instill at the Mission

Christ-Centered

As followers of Jesus Christ, we strive for reconciliation and healing in a broken world. We believe that the call of Jesus is extended to all people equally, and that each person is given what they uniquely need to fully participate in the clanship of God.

Respect

Contained in the wisdom teaching of the Navajo people is the guiding principle of respect: care for the other's need. Jesus summed up the law in a similar manner; love your neighbor as yourself.

Integrity

In the striving for unity and wholeness, we are committed to honesty, virtue, fairness, sincerity and trust.

Excellence

As a demonstration of solidarity and love, we offer our best to each other, to students and their parents, to our guests, and to the community.

Empowerment

We believe that providing training and opportunity through community engagement are the stepping stones to freedom and accomplishment.

Commitment

  • We believe that all people are children of God.
  • We believe that the Navajo People are our sisters and brothers; our neighbors.
  • We believe that when our neighbors hurt, we hurt, and we are led to care.
  • We believe that love and care create community, and we are committed to partnership with the Navajo People in that ministry of caring for one another.
