House of Prayer (HOP) is the congregation located on the Navajo Lutheran Mission campus, serving the Rock Point community as a center for spiritual learning and cultural dialog. Established in 1965 within the American Lutheran Church, HOP is now a member congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and an active cross-cultural ministry of the Grand Canyon Synod.

Our Ministry Leaders
Patricia Charley and Patterson Yazzie serve House of Prayer as Wisdom Keepers. Wisdom Keepers are local indigenous leaders trained to serve as pastoral leaders and teachers. Continued Education for Wisdom Keepers is provided by Pastors of the Grand Canyon Synod, ELCA Native American and Alaskan Indian leaders, and Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary. Community members assist as translators, student Chapel instructors, and ministry helpers.
